That big rain we had a few days ago pretty much put an end to my fish season(i don't ice fish).  Hopefully we are all here next year for another fishing season.

BACK INTO THE VAULT

This is a picture of the pickeral my wife caught last September 2014.  It has been the biggest pickeral that either of us have caught in the last 8 or 9 years.

So i wasn't lying there is still time to catch the big one.

FALL FISHING 2014

Yeah that's right. Photo's from September 2014. (Back into the archives again) Fishing in our little crawdad we hit a couple spots one saturday afternoon/evening.  Had a great time.
Of course my wife outfished me. To be honest, i recall that she caught 12 pickeral and i caught 5.  Must have missed 8 or 9 more between us.
Never caught one on a topwater lure. Caught all the fish on subsurface lures.
Without further ado:

I think its time to get out on the water again to try some fall pickeral fishing before the weather gets to cold.  But i have to wait for my rotator cuff to heal first.

TIP OF THE DAY:  Buy the best line you can afford and check your line for nicks and abrasions regularly.  You will be sorry if you don't.

FINALLY, I WIN?

Went back into the photo archives.  Had to make up a story an provide proof that i could out fish my wife.

So here it is:  Proof that i am twice the fisherman my wife is, when i fish alone.  This photo is 3 months old, but alls fair in love and fish tales.

My wife judith outfished me again,but this time i have an excuse, a bad rotator cuff, only able to use one hand/arm.  Thats my story an i'm stickin to it.

And this is my sore loser face. Telling her to not catch any more fish.

She caught 3 more.

NO SPEED BOATS,NO SKIERS JUST PEACE AND QUIET

I finally out fished my wife, she caught 2 and i caught 6.   Threw a lot of topwater lures, had a lot a good misses early, then caught most of the fish late in the morning.
