INSTALLED DOCK + FISHED BASS POND

Hello fishin buddies:

Set up a little platform on the water(salmon river) then fished our smallmouth bass pond(about 7 acres in size). I never had much luck but my wife judith caught four nice size bass.  Never caught  one of the big 18 to 20 inch ones today. Maybe next time.

HEAVY CLOUD,LIGHT DRIZZLE

I had severe migraine friday morning, was up since 3am.  Took some pain meds and went back to bed until 11 am.  So much for the soap opera.  Did not want to waste a day laying on the couch.  So i went fishin, still a little loopy from the medication. My wife said i must have been a little high because i  never smile in pictures.

Had a ton of hits and caught 14 fish.

GREAT WEATHER AND LOTS OF ACTION

Fantastic Fishing on the Salmon River.

Had a great day fishing topwater lures caught at least 10 fish, mostly on topwater plugs. Must have missed 25 other fish.  There was extremely heavy fog for the first hour.  Oh yeah, i was on the water at 6:30 am saturday,july 18. And i have the pictures to prove it.

Hello folks: I was on the water by 6:15am saturday, july 11.  Perfect day for topwater lures early on.  Only caught 8 fish, but must have missed 25.  Lost 3 or 4 lures due to  using no leader.  By 10 am there were 4 other boats fishing in the same area as my self. Tip of the day:  check your line for tics and abrasions once an while. Just slide your fingers over the line close to the lure.

 

TRIED A LITTLE FISHING FROM SHORE

Tried a little fishing from shore today for chain pickeral.  Missed a few on the topwater lure, but really not much action.  Might try tomorrow morning, but it would have to be bright and early, probably on the water
By 7 am and fish till 12 noon.
